Is BeeTransfer free?
Yes — the core app is free: unlimited full-quality Wi-Fi transfers and a monthly cloud allowance. An optional Premium plan raises the cloud limits. No ads, ever.
Which devices are supported?
iPhone on iOS 17 or later. Both the sender and the recipient need the app installed.
Does it work when we're on different networks?
Yes. Nearby devices transfer directly peer-to-peer; otherwise BeeTransfer routes through an encrypted relay automatically.
Will it use my cellular data?
Cloud transfers can use cellular, but you can restrict uploads to Wi-Fi in Settings. Peer-to-peer transfers never touch your data plan.
Is my data private?
We never scan your media, your bytes are encrypted in transit, and we bundle no tracking SDKs. See the full Privacy Notice.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — permanently, from within the app at any time. It wipes your profile, friends, transfers and stored media.
Does WhatsApp compress photos?
Yes — most chat apps recompress images and videos to save bandwidth (often to ~1600px, with metadata stripped). BeeTransfer never re-encodes: the exact original bytes arrive, and each file is verified identical before it touches your library.
AirDrop vs BeeTransfer — why both?
